Woo! A place to sleep!

Good news! I bought a membership to Skype Pro (just $3 a month!) and made a call to Spain to talk to the hostel Albergue Residencia Juvenil Ramon Menendez Pidal. Quite a name right? Well, I made reservations for a couple nights for just 18 euros a night (about $26) which offers free internet and breakfast included, plus access to a pool, tennis courts, and other sports facilities. Not bad huh? Of course it is just a youth hostel so I don't have my own room but still sounds like a pretty good deal for a place to crash until I find a permanent place to stay for the semester. The hostel is about a mile away from the international relations office at the university, so it works out pretty well.

This is the hostel I am staying in upon my arrival in Oviedo.

Address:
Julián Clavería, 14, 33006 - Oviedo (Asturias)
Phone: 985966570

I also got an application today from the international relations office in Oviedo to find a family to stay with. Thank goodness I finally asked the right person, everyone has been telling me that there is nothing for me to do until I arrive but I knew that just couldn't be right. They said I probably won't have a family by the first day I arrive, but that I would be put into the system ASAP or whatever. Hopefully it will work out somehow.

I'll post again when I hear anything else!
